The Siren

I know the few people who actually checks my page are expecting a new writing piece. It's underway, I promise, but lately my creativities have come to me in images, and have refused to be expressed in any other form.

This is a siren, which in my opinion is another name for mermaids. This is my own interpretation of this race of fantasy beings.

Finned and tailed, with gills on her side, I had hoped to make her ''nose'' not very noticeable, since I don't believe that sirens actually have noses. They're not very useful underwater. However, my siren still has slits for nostrils just for the sake of human-likeness.

This is just a sketch I made out of boredom to practice shading. Comments are always welcome, whatever they are. To fully appreciate the shading, please view in full.
